RenCar

Android car rental app with a map-first flow, from finding a nearby car to paying for the ride.

RenCar is the graduation project of the Turkcell Geleceği Yazanlar Android bootcamp, built as a two-person team. Users find nearby cars on a map, reserve one, complete a pre-rental check and follow the active ride’s time, fee, distance and route. When the rental ends, they pay from a wallet or by card.

The code is split into presentation, domain and data layers with MVI and Clean Architecture: Compose screens talk to ViewModels and use cases, never directly to the API. Screens can run on the real API or on fake repositories, so they could be tested before the backend was ready. Socket.IO provides the groundwork for live vehicle location, and Iyzico is integrated as a separate WebView payment trial.
